UPDATE: The Blue Jacket’s seven-game winning streak ended last night after the game against the Washington Cardinals’ 5-4 overtime win. But the Blue Jacket’s didn’t give up without a fight. Fights, three exactly, broke out during the second period when the team was in a position to win before the Capitals tied and went on to win during overtime.

While seven might not be the Blue Jacket’s lucky number, it sure seems like they’re fond of the “third times a charm” rule (especially when it comes to throwing down gloves on the ice).

The Columbus Blue Jackets have won 7 games in-a-row, the longest active win streak in the NHL.  Tonight, they try to extend that run when the team hosts the Washington Capitals at Nationwide Arena.
