Nick Foligno was slammed into the bench at the Staples Center while playing against the Kings, and then had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. He escaped what could have been a serious injury though, and VP of communications, Todd Sharrock said that Foligno was alert and had full motion in his limbs but was also getting x-rays at the Staples Center just as a precaution. After the injury, the Blue Jackets let in two goals, and lost, 5-2, with their teammate’s injury sitting heavy on their minds.
#CBJ F Nick Foligno is alert, has full movement in his limbs and is talking with doctors. Will have precautionary x-rays at STAPLES Center.
