Cleveland without the Browns? Maybe for the summer

The Buckeyes are what is salient in the minds’ of pretty much the entire city, but come summer when it has been months since a Buckeye football game, Columbus might get the Browns. Alex Fischer, president and CEO of the Columbus Partnership has said he has put in a bid to have the Browns come to Columbus during the summer for three weeks. Bids were due Aug. 15, and Columbus’ included recommendations from the mayor, county commissioners and local businessmen, according to the Plain Dealer.
