The Kooks take Britpop to the Newport
The Kooks seem to love coming to Columbus and the stage at the Newport is no stranger after coming here several times over the past few years. The British pop rockers have gained acclaim since releasing their debut album “Inside In/Inside Out” which included fan favorites “Naïve” and “Sofa Song.” The band though slipped off the musical radar for a few years until later resurfacing with “Listen” which was just released last month. According to lead singer Luke Pritchard the newest addition to the Kooks repertoire was more improvised than past albums and its release took no. 16 on the UK Albums Chart.
