Squashing Pumpkins beer hits shelves
The local brewers over at Swideswipe Brewing have finally released Squashing Pumpkins (kudos on that name) to speciality beer stores and restaurants around the city. “Our brewing process for Squashing Pumpkins is pretty unique and labor intensive. First, we roast Ohio-grown butternut squash, caramelizing its sugars. It is then mixed in with grains and pumpkin in the brewing process,” owner Craig O’Herron told the Akron Beacon Journal.
