Democrat gov. candidate allegedly drove without full license

Avatar

The democrat candidate for Ohio governor apparently drove without a full license in 2012. When a police report surfaced about Ed FitzGerald sitting in an empty parking lot two years ago with a woman, he called a press conference and stated he had simply been talking with the woman, and then drove her to her hotel before driving home himself, according to the Dispatch. But for several years (including the incident with the woman that came into question) FitzGerald only had a temporary driving permit, which would require another licensed driver to be with him whenever he drove, meaning if he did drive home after dropping off the woman, he was driving illegally. The candidate has since apologized and said since 2012 he has had a valid driver’s license.
