Kasich pushes for women to get elected to bench
Governor John Kasich has appointed five woman to different judgeship positions around the state, but they still need to win their elections in the coming months. Pleading with Republican lawyers and judges, Kasich called on them to help the female judges get elected. “Let’s just face facts, us men,” Kasich told the Franklin County Republican Party’s annual gathering for GOP candidates for the bench, the Dispatch reported. “If we don’t have women in the room and women on the bench, we’re not doing our job, and we’re not getting the full picture, plain and simple.”
