Governor John Kasich is still campaigning despite his opponent having seemingly been pushed into solely negative rumors circulating around his expired license and incident where he was found in a car with a woman who wasn’t his wife.
In his newest ad, Kasich seems to be talking about Senate Bill 5, that was eventually turned down by voters. The ad features a man identified as a police officer saying, “when John Kasich became governor, he shook things up and upset working people, including me.” This might be alluding to when Kasich attempted to push through a bill that would have reshaped collective bargaining abilities for people, including police officers and firefighters, according to the Dispatch. “Kasich’s tough, but, I gotta admit, he listened,” the officer continued.
