Anyone want a golf course? Phoenix Golf Links taking bids

The golf biz isn’t for everyone. Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio doesn’t want to manage Phoenix Golf Links in south Columbus, but this year SWACO ended up with it anyways as a product of a lawsuit. Wednesday they are holding an initial meeting for anyone who wants to bid to manage the landfill turned golf course, according to the Dispatch. SWACO had taken over the landfill but then later hired a company to construct a golf course on it, but in the following years it was discovered that methane gas was actually leaking up from under the course and neither the company nor SWACO wanted to fix the problem (which is how they ended up in court and how SWACO was handed the course). The authority is preparing to fix the leak, but is looking for another company to manage the course.
