Planned bike-path gets yanked, no reason given

The bike-path that was planned to go along Rt. 161 Linworth to Sawmill Road has been canceled, and the city hasn’t divulged as to the reason why. The planned 10-foot-wide path had been a work in progress for years and the studies on the environmental impact of the path were nearly finished when the city chose to stop the plan. The path hadn’t seen a lot of public favor and one of the planners told ThisWeek Community News that she wasn’t shocked at the city’s decision, but disappointed all the same.
