Wex Med reunites (and it feels so good) executive roles under new University Hospital CEO

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center split the executive roles at its main hospital in 2011, but now those positions are back together under a new CEO. In March, Marti Taylor will be the new CEO of University Hospital while also remaining as the executive director of Ross Heart Hospital.

Her promotion is set to coincide with the start of incoming Medical Center CEO Dr. Sheldon Retchin‘s term. OSU said Taylor elevated patient satisfaction scores and the heart program’s national standing and launched community and wellness initiatives. She will also be the first University Hospital chief with a nursing background (master’s degree in nursing from Duke).

All these new Wex Med positions make me think it might be time for a check-up. Can you still get a lollipop at the end of the exam if you’re almost 30?
