Boyfriend formally indicted for pregnant girlfriend’s death

Jacob Ferrero, 22, has officially been indicted on seven counts by a Franklin County Grand Jury. His charges include one count of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, two felony counts of aggravated arson, one felony count of tampering with evidence, and one felony count of gross abuse of a corpse. The charges which stem from the death of Samantha Greenlee could hold a life sentence for Ferrero.

Friends + family gathering to honor Samantha Greenlee

Monday night, friends and family will have their final moments to say goodbye at a viewing party for Samantha Greenlee, who had been missing for weeks. Her boyfriend eventually admitted to killing her and has been arrested. Her funeral is set for Tuesday.

Boyfriend gets $1.1M bail for strangling girlfriend

Thursday morning a judge placed a $1.1 million bond for Jacob Ferrero, 22, who has been charged with murdering his girlfriend Samantha Greenlee, 22. His charges include murder and aggravated arson charges for burning down the apartment he shared with Greenlee to cover up the evidence of the murder, and his lawyer entered not guilty pleas for both. According to Columbus Police documents Ferrero admitted to beating her with a baseball bat and strangling her. Greenlee’s family has said she was three-months pregnant and an autopsy is being done to confirm that.

Police: missing, pregnant woman was strangled

UPDATE: After digging up the shallow grave, police believe the body they have uncovered is that of missing Samantha Greenlee. Police have now released how Greenlee was killed and they have said she was beaten with a baseball bat and then strangled. Detectives have said he killed her in their apartment.

Early Wednesday morning, Jacob Ferrero, 22, admitted to killing his girlfriend, Samantha Greenlee, 22, police said. Officials have reported he led detectives to where he buried her body in a wooded area near a corn field in Groveport. The body appears to be Greenlee, but officials have not yet confirmed. The grave is shallow and authorities waited until it was light outside to begin digging up the body that is believed to be Greenlee. He has been arrested and charged with murder and aggravated arson.

Vigil held for missing pregnant woman

A woman has been missing since Oct. 8 and her family is still searching for answers. Tuesday night they are planning to hold a prayer vigil for the pregnant woman. Samantha Greenlee, 22, had apparently gone to work at Bravo in Lennox and then never returned for work following that day. Her car was left at her home that she shared with her boyfriend and her family didn’t hear a peep from her. Days after she went missing her apartment caught fire, and her boyfriend said their dog had kicked over a candle. She is three months pregnant and also missed an appointment with a doctor two days after she was last seen.
