Auctioning off NBC’s Sochi winter olympics gear from Cbus
Housed in a warehouse far from Sochi is much of NBC’s equipment it used to cover the games, equipment that it simply doesn’t need anymore. Liquidity Services Inc. though is planning to auction off all of the left over equipment residing in a Columbus Warehouse. “Due to the high standard of production set for every Olympics, we are constantly upgrading our equipment, which occasionally necessitates these sales,” an NBC spokesperson told Columbus Business First. The items range from broadcast gear to information technology to measurement equipment, and will be sold online in an Ebay like forum.
