Classy and comfy all at once: Crawford & Masters Vapor Bar
Tuesday, Crawford & Masters Vapor Bar quietly opened the door to their vape bar in the Short North, trying to get a feel for the community and the business. “We wanted to have a shop in town that felt more like an old school tobacco shop,” said co-owner Patrick Crawford. The big opening is planned for Saturday to run at the same time as gallery hop at their 1177 N. High St. location.
With the customer’s that have seen the shop, they’ve taken note of the upscale bar (which also includes upscale prices). Crawford said so far though, the reaction has been overwhelming positive from the community that has discovered the environment that is both modern yet familiar all at once. “I wanted some place that was classic yet still had a modern feel to it that was really warm and inviting. I wanted it to be like a very comfortable pub that you would want to go to and hang out,” Crawford said, noting the mix between a comfortable bar and an upscale boutique. Crawford and co-owner Kevin Masters are hoping to fill the void the market, that mostly includes retail vapor shops.
