Could federal money build a rail system in Cbus?

Columbus has long bemoaned its lack of a rail system through the city, but funding for a railway could be in the works at the federal level. (See Columbus, you aren’t completely ignored.) Therese McMillan, acting administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, dropped hints that federal funding could be on the way for a railway in Columbus through President Barack Obama’s transportation funding proposal. That of course had Mayor Michael Coleman clapping, according to the Dispatch.
