A deal has been made with the prosecution and Stephen Tankovich, who used to work as Executive Director of the Office of Accountability Systems. In the wake of the data scrubbing scandal, he has agreed to plead guilty to a felony. According to 10TV, officials have said he is guilty of removing attendance information within the Columbus City School system in order to create an illusion of better scores. Tankovich pleaded no contest to tampering with government records Thursday, the prosecution has said. While generally the charge would have him in jail for up to 18 months, it is expected he will not spend any time in jail, according to 10TV.
