Grandview Avenue’s newest tenant: The Smithery
Thread has only recently moved from its spot on Grandview Avenue, but the new owners, The Smithery, opened their doors Saturday. The store specializes in handmade goods, jewelry and gifts. Anne Holman and Jen Townsend have been working within the art community for years and met at CCAD and their new retail shop will even feature a work bench where artists will work and shoppers can peek in and see how the goods are made. While most of the goods will be focused on jewelry, the shop will also carry stationary, prints, ceramics and more.
