Hot, cold, sleet or snow. Gas prices going up

Regardless of the severity of the winter this year, even if it’s warmer, natural gas prices are going to rise. Last year the average bill rose 10 percent because of the polar vortex and the colder winter and this year, bills could rise 7 percent, according to the American Gas Association. This time the harsh winter isn’t to blame, but the depleted reserve of natural gas along with added competition from electric generator users.
