Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. owns more than just insurance (as can be seen in the fact that it owns an arena and a hospital just in Columbus). In an effort to force people to associated its entire empire with the Nationwide name, the company is rebranding and consolidating its logo to feature an eagle. “Nationwide is in all 50 states and features more products and solutions than our competitors, but customers in many areas aren’t aware of our strength, offerings and size because we feature so many brands that can appear to be unrelated,” said CEO Steve Rasmussen in a press release Tuesday. Nationwide will update the logo and replace the blue frame with an “N” and an eagle. According to Columbus Business First, Nationwide will soon update advertising, company-owned real estate, their website and signage with the new logo.
