While patting down a fair-goer at the Ohio State Fair, an officer with Ohio State Highway Patrol was stuck with a needle in the person’s pocket. The man, Joseph Bacon, had agreed to the pat down after he repeatedly set off the metal detector. Bacon was then arrested and then allegedly admitted he had used the needle for heroin the previous day, according to NBC4. The officer who had been stuck was then treated at the hospital, but now he must have weeks of treatment to ensure the drug does not get into his system through the prick of the needle.
