Lately Ed Elberfeld has taken to riding his bike around German Village in traditional German lederhosen. He’s the Village Connections board chairman and his door-to-door pitch has been attempting to get people to buy tickets to Elderfest, which is a fundraiser for the Village Connection that is Oktoberfest style (a pretty good style fundraiser really), according to ThisWeek Community News. Each ticket is $100 and earns a person entrance to the Sept. 13 shindig. Food will be catered by Schmidt’s, beer will be brought in by Columbus Brewing Co. and a “Wurst of the World” bar with speciality sausages.
