The way the cookie crumbles…Hilliard bakery set to close.

Auddino’s Bakery / Cafe at Mill Run in Hiliard is closing its doors for good this week, closing up shop after a 2 year-run.  When it first opened its doors, owner Roy Auddino said that he hoped the place would be the first in a number of locations around town.  At the time, Auddino said that the wasn’t looking to run a carryout counter, and wanted the establishment to be a place where people would stop in, relax and enjoy.  But that was not to be.

*As a frequent customer of Auddino’s, I can tell you that I only ever used the counter service and rarely saw much going on in the dining area.  Its a shame, really.  Their food was excellent and the staff was always super-friendly.  We definitely wish them all the best.

Auddino’s final day in operation at Mill Run will be this Wednesday.  The family’s 45 year-old wholesale bakery near the Ohio State Fairgrounds continues to thrive
