Contain yourself, Franklinton Art Park

Container-CityFranklinton is pretty much becoming a must-see arts district, especially given this latest development. A new 5-story building is being planned on the corner of W. Rich and Lucas St. And while it’s not built yet, something is getting ready to tide us over until construction starts. A temporary pop-up Art Park, made from reused metal shipping containers, will go in from June to October. The Art Park will feature a temporary parking lot, space for three food trucks, and outdoor dining. It also looks like the shipping containers will be murals for public art pieces.

I’m so ready to lounge about in the sun at this Art Park. And I’m totally not going to paint the ColumBEST chicken on one of those shipping containers…(deb)
