Bosa, three others sidelined for Buckeye season opener

Ohio State football players Joey Bosa, Jalin Marshall, Dontre Wilson and Corey Smith will all miss the team’s September 7th season opener vs Virginia Tech. The four have been sidelined by the university for an unspecified violation of Athletic Department rules. Without going into details, Head Coach Urban Meyer addressed the suspensions on Thursday:

“The university athletic department has a policy that we expect and I’m 100 percent fully supportive of it. When we lost Braxton 10 days before the first game, you lose JT a week before the big 10 championship; you push forward. We’re pushing forward.”

– Urban Meyer

ESPN is reporting that the suspensions are due to marijuana and / or academics.
