Middle West Spirits plans Short North growth
Columbus’ Middle West Spirits has announced a $3.1 million plan to expand their operations in the Short North and open a 23,000-square-foot warehouse.
Middle West (producer of OYO vodkas, whiskeys and bourbons) says that they have seen tremendous growth since their founding five years ago and are anxious to continue moving forward in Columbus. The effort will include the addition of new distillery equipment at their Courtland Avenue facility and building improvements to the East Starr Avenue warehouse. A full-service tasting room is also part of the plan.
“Columbus and Ohio have played a tremendous role in our growth, and we’re thankful to keep growing here. We’re proud of our Ohio roots and continue to invest in its future as a center of innovation for craft spirits.”
– Brady Konya, GM and co-founder, Middle West Spirits
With the expansion and improvements, Middle West will be adding approximately 25 positions to its current 5-person team. (jj)
