Browns vs Bengals kicks off weekend of second chances for Ohio QBs

footballnowTonight’s NFL match-up between the Browns and Bengals kicks off a weekend of second chances for Ohio quarterbacks.

Saturday night will bring us Cardale Jones back into the huddle for the Buckeyes. Cardale gets the start vs Minnesota in place of JT Barrett…serving a 1-game suspension for his recent OVI arrest. (Maybe you’ve heard about it.)

But tonight, in Cincinnati, Johnny Manziel is the go-to man for the Browns. With starter Josh McCown nursing a rib injury, Cleveland once again hands the ball to Johnny Football. In his only other start of the season, Manziel led the team to a win in week 2 against the Titans. Primarily for Manziel, his biggest issues haven’t been on the field. His demons have been off the field with alcohol and behavioral issues. (The league is currently investigating a domestic incident from earlier this month involving his girlfriend. No charges were filed.)

The Cincinnati Benglas (7 – 0) host the Cleveland Browns (2 – 6) at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy tonight. Kickoff at 8:25pm ET.  (jj)
