Buckeyes sticking with Cardale
Ohio State head football coach says that Cardale Jones will once again get the start at quarterback when the team hosts Western Michigan on Saturday.
Jones has started in each of the team’s three games so far this weekend, but when he has struggled, Meyer has pulled him in favor of fellow QB J.T. Barrett.
Cardale Jones has a completion percentage this season of 56.5%. Barrett’s is 57.1%. Jones has been intercepted 3 times. Barrett…zero. Still, the coach says #12 is his man.
“He was the quarterback of the team when we finished the season last year. He was the quarterback in spring practice — he was the only healthy one — and he finished training camp as the starting quarterback. And at times he has played good. At other times he has not. To replace him, the other guy has got to pass him up, either out there or in the games, and that hasn’t happened.”
