Cardale Jones, starting again for the first time at Ohio Stadium
Ohio State looks for their second win of the season on Saturday in the team’s home opener vs Hawaii.
The Buckeyes are coming off of an impressive win Monday night against Virginia Tech. Heading into that game, fans didn’t know who to expect to see starting at quarterback. Urban Meyer had kept that decision a secret until Cardale Jones took the field. Cardale may or may not get the start in the Shoe vs the Rainbow Warriors tomorrow. The coach has both Jones and J.T. Barrett listed as starters, so we could see either get the nod.
If Cardale Jones gets the start, it will be his first at Ohio Stadium as a Buckeye. But he has started on that field before…in high school when his Glenville Tarblooders of Cleveland defeated the Dwyer Panthers of Florida.
Cardale told ESPN that he remembers the feeling of playing that game in the Shoe in 2010.
“It was cool to play here in high school, and the win was pretty sweet. I mean, there weren’t that many people, so it’s completely different. It was just cool to play in a big-ass stadium.”
