Do you believe in miracles? CBJ notch back-to-back wins
Miracle may be too strong a word for it, but still….back-to-back wins are nice to see for a club that began the season 0 and 8.
The Blue Jackets were on the road Tuesday night for a face-off with the New Jersey Devils. The CBJ were coming off their first win of the season. The Devils were riding a 4-game winning streak.
The game was scoreless heading into the third period when the Jackets’ Boone Jenner broke through with his 6th goal of the season to put Columbus ahead. Teammate Cam Atkinson scored just 35 seconds later. Later in the period, Scott Hartnell recorded another CBJ score. New Jersey would get one by Sergei Bobrovsky late in the period on a power play.
The Blue Jackets take this one, 3 – 1. Mark that down as the first winning streak of the season for Columbus and the first of his tenure for new CBJ head coach John Tortorella.
The Blue Jackets’ next game is Friday night in Washington vs the Capitals. (jj)
