Ezekiel Elliott named Big Ten MVP

From DUI arrests to solicitation busts, the news has not been great for Ohio State during weeks when the football team has not had a game on the schedule this season. So let’s go with this piece of positive news….

Ezekiel Elliott has been named the Big Ten’s Most Valuable Player. The award…the Silver Football…is handed out by the Chicago Tribune and is voted on by the conference coaches. Elliott was the top choice of 8 of those program heads.

This is the 18th time that a Buckeye has won the award. Braxton Miller won the honor in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.  (jj)
