Fast start, big win for Crew SC in opening of Conference Finals
Things began with record speed for the Columbus Crew SC Sunday night with the (614) boys hosting the New York Red Bulls in the First Leg of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Columbus’ Justin Meram scored less than ten seconds into the match….the fastest goal in MLS playoff history. Late in the second half, Kei Kamara would add another for Crew SC. Columbus went on to take the First Leg, 2 -0.
The action all played out in front of a Columbus Crew SC playoff record crowd of 21,617.
The Red Bulls host the Second Leg next Sunday (11/29) at 7:30pm ET. (jj)
