LeBron treats Cavaliers to pizza on Ohio State campus
If you were on campus Sunday night, you might have done a double-take at the sight of LeBron James walking into a pizza joint and ordering up dinner for himself and a few Cavalier teammates. And yet it happened.
LeBron’s days as a pitchman for McDonald’s are over. Today when you hear him promoting grub, he’s talking about Blaze Pizza. Blaze is a fairly new chain launched just a couple of years ago and James was an early investor. It’s believed that he has at least a 10% stake in the business. So with the Cavaliers taking on the Memphis Grizzlies in town tonight, that gave LeBron a chance last night to visit the campus Blaze location (1708 North High Street).
He and teammates J.R. Smith, Mo Williams and James Jones stopped in for dinner, met some fans and took some pics with the staff. No word on what kind of pizza they ordered, but from the looks of it, everyone had a great time.
Only right that I come to Columbus and enjoy a great pie @BlazePizza!! Love it. Thanks for the hospitality guys. pic.twitter.com/fJT76gsEkp
