Ohio State okays limited alcohol sales at football games

How about a celebratory beverage as you celebrate your team’s dominance this season?

Ohio State University on Friday announced that they will allow limited alcohol sales at the Horseshoe during the upcoming football season. Beer and wine will be offered to fans sitting in Ohio Stadium’s 81 suites and 2,700 club seats. This means that roughly 4,700 fans will be able to enjoy an adult beverage while cheering on the Bucks inside the Shoe. Clearly only a small fraction of the fans in attendance will be able to take advantage of the policy shift. OSU says that it’s part of a pilot program. (Maybe they’ll expand the sales in the future?)

Beer and wine sales were allowed at Ohio Stadium for a number of recent events including the Cleveland Browns scrimmage and the Rolling Stones, Buckeye Country Music Fest and One Direction concerts.  (jj)
