OSU crushed, UConn rolls over women’s basketball team

Well that was rough.

Top-ranked UConn went into Value City Arena Monday night and destroyed the 7th-ranked lady Buckeyes, 100 – 56.

The Buckeye were close late in the first quarter, trailing by just three points. And then that was it. The Huskies took over from there, leading the Buckeyes by 26 at the half and the story never improved.

*Shayla Cooper was Ohio State’s leading scorer with 17 points.

Ohio State’s next game is Thursday night at home vs Belmont.  (jj)
