OSU’s basketball team is adding some height to its team. Cleveland’s Derek Funderburk just announced his commitment to the university this morning. Funderburk, who stands at 6’9”, is a junior at Lakewood St. Edward High School. According to twitter, he says, “I’ve made the decision to become a Buckeye. I will pursue my college career at The Ohio State University.”

With Funderburk on the team, not only does OSU get an impressively ranked player,* but it also gives them 13 scholarship players for the upcoming 2016-17 season. That is, if D’Angelo Russell doesn’t decide to enter the NBA draft. (deb)
