Social media campaign suggests Browns take a dive to land Buckeye star
It’s not 100% certain where the idea came from, but certainly it wasn’t from Johnny Manziel.
With Big 10, Sugar Bowl and National Championship wins still fresh in their minds, college football fans everywhere know the name Cardale Jones. And with the exception of a little bit of Monday night’s second quarter, they’ve seen the Buckeye quarterback get off to a good season this year. One group of people that clearly know all about Jones? Cleveland Browns fans.
A number of Cleveland fans have taken to using the hashtag FailForCardale. That’s right. They’re already crossing off dreams of a winning season before it’s even begun. Now if “looking ahead to next year” was a sport, Cleveland would certainly lead the league every year. But throwing in the towel before the first down has even been played is a bit much. Still, for some “fans” of the orange and brown, it’s not too early to call the 2015 season a total disaster.
They’re already thinking towards the next NFL draft and a winless year would mean a top pick. Apparently, their plan also calls for the Buckeye star to leave Ohio State, enter the draft, be selected by Cleveland and make all of their dream come true. (jj)
