Pryor back in the Buckeye state

Guess who’s back? Back again? Guess who’s back, guess who’s back…(alright, I’m done with the song lyrics). But in actuality, former OSU QB Terrelle Pryor is back in Ohio. A few days after being cut by the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cincinnati Bengals signed him following the end of their rookie minicamp. Pryor’s attendance at the camp was on a tryout basis – one he probably got through his connection to Hue Jackson, the Bengals’ offensive coordinator and former Oakland head coach (2011). Pryor previously played, and started, for the Raiders a few years ago. (deb)

Terrelle Pryor cut by the Chiefs

Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor has now completed a stint with his third NFL team after being released today by the Kansas City Chiefs. KC signed TP in January to a one-year deal. Five months later, he’s out. He previously spent time with the Raiders and Seahawks. In general, Pryor has not found much success since leaving OSU in 2011 following reports of an NCAA investigation of players receiving improper benefits and the subsequent resignation of then-head coach Jim Tressel. At the time, ESPN reported that, as a student athlete, Pryor had received thousands of dollars in exchange for autographs…allegations that he denied.  (jj)
