Getting the Rolling Stones to play your Columbus wedding

Assume for a moment that the happiest day of your life is just around the corner…you’re getting married. (Congratulations, by the way.) When searching for a venue, being the Buckeye fan that you are, if you have the chance to lock in the Horseshoe, you grab it, right? (Of course, you do.) You want it. Its available. You lock it in. Done.

But then, someone else comes along and wants to use the stadium on the very same date…and his name is Mick Jagger. Uh oh.

Such is the problem that visited newlyweds-to-be Chhoeun Prem and Craig Callahan. If you’re Ohio State, you know that you’ve already got the wedding scheduled but you certainly don’t want say ‘no’ to the Rolling Stones. So you make it work.

Chhoeun and Craig weren’t all that interested in changing anything when they got the call from OSU about Ohio Stadium being double-booked for May 30th. But a slight compromise in setting paired with impressive negotiating skills from the happy couple ended in a happy bargain for both sides. The Rolling Stones took the stage that night and the bride and groom…and all of their guests…received sweet tickets for the show. The good folks over at Eleven Warriors have the complete story and the pics!  (jj)
