For more than thirty years, the Columbus Zoo’s Jack Hanna has been a fixture on late night television. Hanna has brought national attention to the (now) well-respected institution that he helped to turn around. Much of that attention has come through his regular appearances with David Letterman…first at Late Night on NBC and then on Late Show at CBS. The country has watched as the knowledgeable, yet silly zookeeper has kept the nervous TV host on edge with everything from camels and alligators to the cockroaches of Madagascar.
