One Direction at Ohio Stadium tonight – Things to know

The ultra-high-pitched squealing that you hear tonight will be from the tens of thousands of (mostly) tweenage girls gathered at Ohio Stadium to see British pop boy band One Direction. And, according to member Niall Horan, the show is “Gona be sick.”

Following the Rolling Stones and Buckeye Country Superfest, this is the third major music event of the summer at the Horsehoe. If you’re going to the concert or planning to drop off fans at the show, here are some things to know.
- Gates open at 5pm. Show starts at 7pm.
- Parking lots open at 1pm.
- The French Field House is the recommended drop-off spot. The area will reopen for pick-ups at 9:30pm.
- Audio / video recording devices are prohibited.
- Selfie sticks are prohibited.
- Mentioning of better bands is encouraged for the education of young minds in attendance.
- Toys and gifts brought for the band will not be given to the band. They will be collected and donated to charity.
- Fans can bring handheld signs no larger than 24 x 36 inches. Signs to be held with poles and sticks are prohibited.
