Record attendance for Ohio State Fair
Maybe it was Meghan Trainor…or Reba. Maybe it was the buttery version of Urban Meyer or the guy with the bumble bee beard. Whatever drew them to the fairgrounds, a lot of people checked out the fair this year.
The Ohio State Fair does like to set records. Right at the start of the 2015 installment of the Ohio celebration, the fair set an opening day attendance record with 59,324 guests. And overall, for the full twelve days of the event, more than 982,000 fairgoers walked the midway, rode rides and ate fried fat on a stick. That overall attendance figure is a record for the fair and marks the third straight year that the record has been broken. (jj)
