Scioto Greenways Grand Opening today!
It took two years and more than $35 million to complete, but developers say it’s ready.
Scioto Greenways celebrates its grand opening today. The downtown project has been a huge undertaking involving the removal of the Main Street Dam, a redirecting of the river itself and the addition of 33 acres worth of green space.
The grand opening itself happens at 3:30pm followed by a host of free fun activities including kayaking and LIVE music…all leading up to a fireworks show at 6:30pm.
*The folks at Scioto Mile are offering us this tip. If you’re driving to the event, $5 parking will be available at the RiverSouth Garage (the brick building at the corner of Front and Rich Streets). (jj)
