Local classic rock radio station QFM96 is being purchased by the parent company of fellow local station Sunny 95.
All Access reports that Saga Communications is purchasing WLVQ from Wilks Broadcasting for the sum of $13 million. This brings QFM into the same radio family as Sunny, Rewind 103.5 / 104.3, and Mix 107.9.
Michigan-based Saga owns radio stations in 23 markets around the country.
For QFM fans wondering what (if any) changes might be in store for their favorite radio station, Saga president Ed Christian offers this:
We look forward to working with the existing staff to continue the great rock heritage that this station has established.
