Columbus gets first taste of new Tim Hortons lunch menu
Tim Hortons has begun testing a new lunch menu in Columbus.
The line-up includes a mix of new sandwiches and refreshed favorites. The new menu is being introduced after more than a year and a half of testing. Tim Hortons is stressing high-quality ingredients with the new food offerings as they try to grab a bigger chunk of the lunch rush. The thinking is that customers are not necessarily interested in cheaper food. (There are plenty of low cost fast food options available.) They think that customers might simply be interested in something better.
The new menu is currently available in just a handful of area stores: 2626 Bethel Road, 737 Bethel Road and 6259 Sunbury Road (Westervile). Plans are to take the new items national in September. (jj)
