Downtown Cbus: Remember when this was a thing?

Late last year, Joe Milano bought the former Jury Room (22 East Mound Street) with plans to turn the place into a meatball-themed restaurant called Balls. In response to the obvious jokes about the name, Milano changed it to 1831 Tavern…a nod to the year that the building was constructed.

Now it’s closed.

The business has been sold to an as yet unnamed buyer. Stay tuned. (jj)
