Hot potato! Tatoheads owner named national finalist
Daniel McCarthy is the owner of the popular Tatoheads food truck and Tatoheads Public House in Merion Village. Recently, he entered a contest sponsored by the U.S. Potato Board, the National Potato Council and SuperMarket Guru founder Phil Lempert. The goal of the Spud Nation Throwdown is to find the best potato dish.
Daniel entered his chorizo cheese fries.
Those fries were named a top 8 finalist. Then a top 3 national finalist! The grand prize winner will collect the crown and $5,000. The announcement will be made in Las Vegas next month.
