To egg or not to egg? That is the question for Wendy’s

It’s not everyday you hear, “What if we threw an egg on top of the burger?” But that’s exactly the kind of conversation starters taking place at Wendy’s annual analyst meeting. On Tuesday, the group gathered to talk about everything from franchising, app development, to new menu items. And it’s the conversations around what new items could be added to the menu that are the most intriguing.
Possible new ideas:
- Egg Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger
- Quinoa Salad
- Power Turkey Wheat Berry Salad
- Beef Brisket-topped Cheeseburger
- Gluten-free buns
- Veggie Burger
- Chicken sandwich with ghost pepper sauce and jalapenos
- Ghost pepper fries.
It’s important to mention that these ideas are just that: ideas. Wendy’s reps stress that just because a food idea is suggested, that doesn’t mean it’ll be on the menu. So, I guess that means I’ll have to wait and see if my Egg Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger makes the cut. (deb)
