Which came first? The chicken or the recall?
Easy question, easy answer…the chicken.
Tougher question: Why does the chicken smell funny? Answer….nobody knows. But it’s being recalled anyway.
Tyson Foods is recalling 28-oz. retail bags of Tyson® Any’tizers® Fully Cooked Hot Wings® CHICKEN WING SECTIONS COATED WITH A FLAVORFUL HOT, TANGY SAUCE.
In all, more than 52,000 pounds of chicken are included in the product call back. Customers have reportedly complained of an off-odor coming from the chicken and some say that they have gotten sick after eating it.
Bags included have use by/sell by dates of October 24, 2016 and October 25, 2016, packaging dates of 2975PBF0508-23/2985PBF0500-01 and case codes of 2975PBF0508-23/2985PBF0500-01. They also have an establishment number of P-13456.
Customers having packages of the included chicken are advised to throw them away or return them to the point of purchase. (jj)
