Last night, a rally was held (organized by Weunited.org) in front of Bexley’s City Hall in support of the city passing an anti-discrimination ordinance. The rally was in response to a local same-sex couple who was denied service by a wedding videographer. The group also planned to meet with City Council officials to discuss the proposed ordinance and during the session, the council unanimously agreed to start drafting one. After opening the floor to public comment, the council also announced that they’ll form a subcommittee to create the ordinance; which will likely go before the council on April 28th. (deb)
