No more pink, er salmon, colored drivers licenses for Ohio
Earlier this week, the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles began issuing a new design for drivers license that features a blue-green background to replace the “salmon” color. They will also feature the words “Ohio” and “1803” (the year Ohio became a state). Other changes were made as well but because they relate to security issues, the BMV won’t discuss them.
The change might have come from comments Gov. Kasich made back in 2011 when he got his license renewed, and realized the color was pink – something he didn’t particularly care for. Overall, licenses change every few years so that it’s difficult for people to make fakes.
Well, looks like in the next few years when I go to renew my license, I’ll be getting this new cool blue instead of the old pink, I mean salmon, colored one.
